Dungeons & Drapers

Play a candle-maker who moonlights as a mage, or a blacksmith who keeps their suit of platemail in a secret cellar. Thank you to everyone who supported the early development. Dungeons & Drapers is now on DriveThruRPG and Itch.io, or it's pay-what-you-want here.

Dungeons & Drapers is a traditional epic fantasy tabletop RPG, based around tried-and-tested d20 mechanics, but sprinkled with quirks and twists. In the Vale, heroes must hide their heroics. Crawl dungeons and complete quests, but try not to rise to the notice of the Queen, her Five Agencies, and her Worshipful Company of Deniable Assets.

The Player's Handbook is a 90-page book containing all the core rules you need to play, and giving a flavor of the setting. It's free to download here, but donations and feedback are appreciated.

See also the text game Skycrawl, set in the same world (roughly) as Dungeons & Drapers, only without all that blacksmith and tailor stuff. Maybe it's set a little earlier, before all that blacksmith and tailor stuff kicked off. Also see The Shrike, which is set in a sort of kaleidescopic cosmos that includes the Dungeons & Drapers Vale as one of its many iterations.

It doesn't really have anything to do with Don Draper, sorry.
